CyanConnode lands contract for 6.5 million communication modules

CyanConnode Pvt Ltd has been awarded a major contract to supply 6.5 million communication modules for India’s smart metering initiative, marking the company’s largest order to date.

The agreement includes the supply of Omnimesh modules, advanced metering infrastructure, standards-based hardware, Omnimesh head-end software, a perpetual license, and a comprehensive support and maintenance package.

These smart metering projects will be implemented across various locations in India, with the supply of modules starting in the second half of FY25. Each project’s installation phase is expected to be completed within 27 months, followed by a 93-month support and maintenance period.

John Cronin, Executive Chairman of CyanConnode Holdings plc, expressed his satisfaction with the contract, stating, “This order nearly doubles our order book for India, increasing it from 6.6 million units to 13.1 million units, and solidifies our position in India’s nationwide smart metering rollout.”
