CESC Green signs MoU with Uttar Pradesh for renewable project

CESC Limited has informed the stock exchanges that its subsidiary, CESC Green Power Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh for a major renewable energy investment in the state.
The MoU was executed on 20 January 2026. It sets out plans to develop an integrated solar manufacturing and power generation facility in Uttar Pradesh. The proposed project includes a 3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant and a 60 MW solar power plant.
The scope also covers ancillary manufacturing units, a Research and Development (R&D) lab, and supporting infrastructure. The total proposed investment is approximately Rs. 3,800 crores.
According to a regulatory filing, CESC submitted this intimation under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (SEBI LODR Regulations).
