Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) has invited bids to set up 72.55 MW of solar projects in Karnataka under the PM-KUSUM scheme. The request for proposal (RfP) was issued on June 20, 2025. The last date for bid submission is June 30, 2025.

Projects will be developed under Component C of PM-KUSUM on a build, own and operate (BOO) basis. The scope includes design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and 25-year operation and maintenance. The projects will solarise agricultural feeders at the sub-station level and connect via 11kV lines. A remote monitoring system will also be deployed.

CESC will sign 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the selected solar power generators (SPGs). Central Financial Assistance (CFA) of up to Rs 10.5 million per MW will be provided to successful bidders.

Separately, Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL) has re-invited bids for a 10 MW floating solar power project on Durgawati Dam in Rohtas, Bihar. The last date for submissions is July 2, 2025. Initial bids were issued in December 2024.

The project will be developed in RESCO mode on a build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis. South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) and North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) will jointly sign a 25-year PPA with the successful bidder.

The project is expected to be commissioned within 12 months of PPA signing.
