The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved the petition filed by KVK Energy & Infrastructure Private Limited for the grant of a Category ‘IV’ trading license for inter-state trading of electricity across India.
CERC noted that the petitioner meets the requirements outlined in the Trading Licence Regulations. The commission granted the Category ‘IV’ trading license subject to the following conditions:
- Compliance with the provisions of the Electricity Act, Rules, Regulations, and directions issued by the commission.
- Adherence to orders issued by the commission.
- Non-engagement in the business of electricity transmission during the license period (25 years).
- Charging trading margins in line with the Trading Licence Regulations.
- Continued compliance with the qualifications and disqualifications as outlined in the Trading Licence Regulations.
The commission has further directed the issuance of a notice inviting suggestions or objections related to the proposal.
