Insolation Energy secures Rs 714 million order for solar PV modules

Insolation Energy Ltd., via its wholly-owned subsidiary Insolation Green Energy Private Limited, has received a Rs 714 million purchase order from ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited.  The order is for the supply of solar PV modules. Recently, Insolation Energy won a contract valued at Rs 5 billion from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) to install 77 MW of rooftop solar power systems across Rajasthan.

Patel Engineering reports 151% profit surge in Q2 FY25

Patel Engineering Limited announced a net profit increase of 151% year-over-year for Q2 FY25.  For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, the company reported a revenue increase of 14.98%, reaching Rs 11,743 million, driven by progress in hydropower, irrigation, and tunnelling projects. BHEL secures contract for Telangana Stage-II thermal power plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured a contract from NTPC Ltd to establish the main plant package for the 3×800 MW Telangana Stage-II supercritical thermal power plant.  The contract encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and civil construction.  BHEL has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from NTPC to commence basic engineering work for the main plant package. Waaree Renewable secures 41.6 MW solar project in Tamil Nadu

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) has secured an order to establish a 41.6 MW solar project in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu.  The project, valued at approximately Rs 1.47 billion, is scheduled for completion in the fiscal year 2025-26.  This initiative involves setting up an independent regional power production (IPP) unit.

Power Grid acquires Bikaner A and B Transmission Projects for Rajasthan REZ

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has acquired Bikaner A Power Transmission Ltd (BATPL) and Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited, both established to support the “Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Phase IV (Part-3: 6 GW) [Bikaner complex]” on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.  The acquisition from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), the bid process coordinator, was completed on November 11, 2024.

Sugs Lloyd wins Rs 3 billion power infrastructure projects in Bihar

Sugs Lloyd has emerged as the lowest bidder for two Bihar government projects worth Rs 3 billion. The contracts include the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of a power substation along with high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) lines.  CEO Satyakam Basu expressed excitement over this milestone, noting that the company is considering an IPO to expand operations and fulfil working capital needs.
