Europe’s wind power growth falls short of 2030 targets

Europe added 15 GW of new wind energy capacity in 2024, including 13 GW from onshore and 2.3 GW from offshore projects, according to WindEurope. Constellation to acquire Calpine for $16.4bn

Constellation has announced its acquisition of Calpine in a cash and stock transaction valued at $16.4bn, including 50 million Constellation shares, $4.5bn in cash, and the assumption of $12.7bn in net debt.  The deal brings the total net purchase price to $26.6bn after factoring in expected cash generated by Calpine and tax attributes. PPC Renewables orders 100 MW of wind turbines for Greek projects

PPC Renewables, a subsidiary of PPC Group, has ordered 19 Nordex N149/5.X turbines, totalling 100 MW of capacity, for three wind farms in Greece.
