Brookfield, a global real assets firm, has proposed an investment of over Rs 500 billion in Andhra Pradesh over the next three to five years, focusing on renewable energy projects, particularly in wind and solar power.
Evren, a clean energy platform promoted by Brookfield and Axis Energy, committed to the investment during the meeting. The company plans to install 1,380 MW of solar power and 1,640 MW of wind power by 2026, with additional capacities planned for 2027 and beyond, aiming for a total of 8,873 MW of solar and wind capacities. These projects are expected to be primarily located in the Rayalaseema region, including Kurnool and Anantapur.
Evren is also exploring investments in integrated module manufacturing, pumped storage, battery storage, e-mobility, electric vehicles, and green ammonia, further supporting the state’s green energy goals. Brookfield currently manages $26 billion in assets in India across infrastructure, real estate, renewable power, and private equity.
