Australia explores investment opportunities in Bihar’s renewable energy sector

Australian Consul-General in Kolkata, Hugh Boylan, has expressed Australia’s keen interest in exploring opportunities within Bihar’s rapidly growing renewable energy landscape.

Bihar has significant potential for renewable energy generation, with the central government estimating the state could produce 16,000 MW of non-conventional energy, including 11,200 MW from solar and 3,650 MW from wind.

Australian companies are expected to visit the state soon to explore potential investments, particularly in solar energy. The Government of the state has emphasized North Bihar as ideal for floating solar installations.
