Amrut Energy has secured Rs 1 billion in funding from private equity investors to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and expand operations in underserved regions. The Ahmedabad-based company specializes in solar-powered water pump systems, which help farmers access free and reliable electricity for irrigation.
The investment will be used to strengthen research and development, improve production efficiency, and scale operations across new markets. Amrut Energy also plans to accelerate innovation in solar technology to make its systems more efficient and cost-effective.
Founded in 2014, the company has grown into a leading player in the solar energy sector, offering solutions such as solar water pumps, street lights, and photovoltaic (PV) modules. Its solar-powered water pumps reduce reliance on conventional energy sources, lowering operational costs while ensuring uninterrupted irrigation for farmers.
With this funding, Amrut Energy aims to drive further growth in India’s renewable energy sector, supporting sustainable agriculture and rural electrification.
