AM Green Ammonia India has entered into a binding power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gentari through its subsidiary, Gentari Renewables India Castor One.
Under this long-term agreement, Gentari will supply 650 MW of round-the-clock (RTC), carbon-free energy to power AMG Ammonia’s upcoming green ammonia facilities.
Gentari will develop approximately 2400 MWp of renewable energy capacity, comprising solar and wind, across Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. This will be integrated with 350 MW/2100 MWh of energy storage to ensure a stable supply of dispatchable green power to AMG Ammonia’s facilities.
The solar project will be located at a single site, while the wind projects will span multiple locations connected through the ISTS network.
AMG Ammonia is working to build one of the world’s largest green ammonia platforms, aiming to reach five million tpa by 2030.
