Amara Raja Infra Private Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 799.12 million for the 765kV AIS Extension Package SS 95T at the Bidar pooling station from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).
The contract is part of the project titled Augmentation of Transformation Capacity by 3×500 MVA, 400/220kV ICT (6th to 8th) and 1×1500 MVA, 765/400kV ICT (4th) at Bidar PS. Amara Raja Infra was selected through competitive bidding. KEI Industries Limited also qualified, while R. S. InfraProjects Pvt. Ltd. and Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited did not qualify.
The completion date for the awarded package is set as 30 April 2027.
The full transformation scheme at Bidar PS includes the following works:
- One 1×1500 MVA, 765/400kV ICT (4th)
- Three 3×500 MVA, 400/220kV ICTs (6th to 8th)
- ICT bays at 765kV, 400kV, and 220kV levels
- One 220kV line bay each for Quest Hybren Pvt. Ltd. and Pulse Hybren Pvt. Ltd.
