Musashi and Log9 Materials form partnership for EV powertrain solutions

Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd., Japan, the parent company of Musashi India, has entered a strategic partnership with advanced battery technology company Log9 Materials. The collaboration aims to deliver an integrated powertrain solution for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers by combining Musashi’s high-performance e-Axle system with Log9’s cutting-edge battery technology.

This partnership seeks to tackle key challenges in EV energy management and enhance scalability and service reliability, optimizing performance and durability. By integrating battery packs with e-Axles, the collaboration will minimize energy losses found in conventional powertrains, improving vehicle range and efficiency, particularly in urban environments.

The partnership will introduce a centralized service model for the integrated battery and e-Axle systems, reducing repair downtime and improving customer satisfaction. Musashi and Log9 aim to expand into Southeast Asia and Africa, supported by a robust after-sales service network in major Indian cities.

Musashi’s entry into the EV sector, coupled with Log9’s battery technology leadership, is expected to accelerate EV adoption, drive sustainable transportation, and contribute to global carbon emission reduction efforts.
