Karnataka Power Transmission issues tender for GIS substation in Bengaluru

Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) has issued a tender for the establishment of a 2×150 MVA, 220/66 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation in Banashankari, Bengaluru Urban district. The project will include the installation of vertical configuration GIS within the existing 66/11 kV Banashankari Third Stage substation, along with underground cable connections, construction of 220 kV and 66 kV terminal bays, and related dismantling work.

The contract, valued at Rs 2.69 billion, will be executed on a partial turnkey basis. The last date for bid submission is October 13, 2024.
