Datta Power subsidiary signs Rs 15 billion MoU with REC for 500 MW renewable projects
Adyant Enersol Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Datta Power Infra, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with REC Ltd for financing Rs 15 billion to develop 500 MW of renewable energy projects. The MoU was formalized at the 4th Global RE-INVEST Summit in Gujarat.
This partnership sets the stage for Datta Infra’s larger vision of developing 2 GW of wind, solar, and wind-solar hybrid projects across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and other states. These projects are expected to generate 800-900 million units of clean energy annually, contributing to India’s renewable goals. The projects are set to be completed within 18 to 24 months after signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Datta Infra aims to become a leader in the renewable energy sector, aligning with India’s vision of a sustainable future. In addition to its expansion, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment, supporting renewable energy initiatives and combating climate change. Since 2020, Datta Infra has completed 5,600 MW of projects, culminating in a 6 GW ultra mega park in 2024.
