Fluence, Excelsior Energy to install 2.2 GWh of BESS in US
Fluence Energy, a subsidiary of Siemens, and Excelsior Energy Capital have partnered to install 2.2 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the United States by 2025. The project will utilize Fluence’s Gridstack Pro product line, with battery cells manufactured in Tennessee and modules produced in Utah, benefiting from the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA) domestic content bonus. Gridstack Pro is one of the first BESS projects to qualify as domestic content under the IRA.

Mirova to invest $518m in RP Global’s clean energy projects
French asset management firm Mirova has committed €480 million ($518 million) to RP Global, an independent power producer (IPP), to advance its 2.5 GW pipeline of clean energy projects across Europe. The investment is split between the Mirova Energy Transition 6 (MET6) fund, providing €200 million, and an additional €280 million from a co-investment vehicle managed by Mirova.
