SECI issues tender for 1 GW ISTS-connected solar projects under Tranche XVIII

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender inviting bids to develop 1 GW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects for Tranche XVIII. The deadline for bid submission is October 4, 2024.

Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 942,000 per MW, along with a document fee of Rs 50,000 and a non-refundable bid processing fee of Rs 20,000. Selected winners must provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs 2.35 million per MW. The financial criteria include a net worth of at least Rs 9.42 million per MW and an average annual turnover of Rs 3.69 million per MW over the last three financial years.

Bids must range between 50 MW and 500 MW, and projects can be developed anywhere in India, using modules from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
