A parliamentary committee, tasked with reviewing the performance of central public sector undertakings (PSUs), will examine the efficiency of insurance sector PSUs, solar power corporations, and other entities. The Committee on Public Undertakings (CoPU), chaired by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, will evaluate the performance of the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) in light of the government’s focus on renewable energy as a key growth driver.

The committee will also review the performance of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) and Sagarmala Development Company Limited (SDCL). CoPU regularly selects PSUs or specific subjects for examination, and the relevant ministries or undertakings provide necessary information for the committee’s assessment.
