Oriana Power’s arm wins solar project in Tamil Nadu

Oriana Power’s subsidiary, TrueRE Surya, has secured a contract to build and operate a 128 MW ground-mounted solar power plant in Tamil Nadu for Dalmia Cement (Bharat), a subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat. The project, costing Rs 5.2 billion, will be completed within 12 months and generate 1.92 billion units of electricity annually, supporting Dalmia Bharat’s RE100 commitment by 2030. Dalmia Cement will acquire 26% of TrueRE Surya’s equity in tranches over the next four to six months.

Last week, Oriana Power also announced a 52 MW solar project order from Bharat Petroleum Corporation, worth Rs 2.48 billion. With these projects, Oriana Power’s total capacity under execution has surpassed 570 MW, with over 240 MW already delivered.
