KP Green Engineering bags Rs 258 crore in fresh orders across segments
KP Green Engineering Limited has secured fresh confirmed orders worth Rs 258.02 crore, inclusive of taxes, across multiple business segments, adding to its order pipeline for the current financial year.
Separately, its affiliate KPI Green Energy Limited has reported further progress in the execution of its 2.57 GWp independent power producer (IPP) portfolio, with approximately 1.16 GWp already energized and about 1.41 GWp under active execution.
Order intake
The new orders secured by KP Green Engineering cover solar projects, crash barriers, pre-engineered buildings, transmission towers, poles, highmasts and isolators. Solar-related orders constitute the largest component at Rs 114.53 crore and include fixed-tilt module mounting structures as well as tracker-type structures.
Crash barrier orders account for another Rs 92.38 crore and are intended for railway track fencing and related applications. The company has also received orders worth Rs 33.76 crore for pre-engineered building structures and Rs 15.42 crore for transmission tower materials and substation equipment structures, alongside smaller contracts for poles, highmasts and isolators.
With these fresh awards, KP Green Engineering’s cumulative confirmed order intake for the current financial year has reached Rs 497.64 crore. The latest additions strengthen its order book across its engineering and infrastructure-related business segments and provide further visibility to its execution pipeline.
IPP execution
KPI Green Energy’s total IPP portfolio stands at 2.57 GWp, with approximately 1.16 GWp already energized and the remaining about 1.41 GWp under active execution. The portfolio is backed by long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) with tenures of up to 25 years, providing a long-term contracted revenue base.
The company has commissioned its 200 MW/240 MWp Khavda solar project at the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL)-developed solar park. The project is now injecting power under a PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
KPI Green Energy has also achieved early grid synchronization of its 50 MW/92.15 MWp hybrid project, comprising 16.95 MW wind and 75.2 MWp solar capacity. The synchronization was completed ahead of the project’s scheduled commercial operation date.
Under the 620 MW/1,027 MWp solar and hybrid IPP agreements executed with GUVNL in October 2024, the company has commissioned 180.70 MW/251.13 MWp of the 250 MW/350 MWp solar project in phases. The balance capacity remains under execution.
In the 370 MW/677 MWp hybrid project, a further 130 MW/195 MWp was energized during August 2026. This has taken the project’s total commissioned capacity to 269.70 MW/389.70 MWp.
Wind and BESS
KPI Green Energy’s 150 MW wind project has achieved financial closure and is progressing towards scheduled commissioning. Meanwhile, PPA signing for a 300 MW wind IPP project is currently in process.
The group’s energy-storage portfolio is also expanding through KPI Green Energy’s subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Limited. The subsidiary has executed battery energy storage purchase agreements with GUVNL for two standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with a combined capacity of 565 MW/1,130 MWh.
The projects add to the group’s activities in utility-scale energy storage while supporting its presence in grid-stability solutions.
