CG Power wins Rs 166.74 crore PGCIL contract for 765 kV reactors
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited has won a contract worth Rs 166.74 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the supply of 765 kV reactors under PGCIL’s Bulk Procurement initiative.
The tender, identified as “765kV Reactor Package 7RT-28-BULK”, covers 15 x 110 MVAR, 765 kV single-phase reactors under Lot 7 of the Bulk Procurement of 765 kV and 400 kV class transformers and reactors of various capacities.
Bidding process
The tender attracted five bids, all of which were received. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), GE Vernova T&D India Limited (GE Vernova) and Siemens Energy India Limited (Siemens Energy) were among the qualified bidders alongside CG Power. Transformers and Rectifiers India Limited (TARIL) was listed among the parties that were not qualified.
Earlier this month, PGCIL awarded a contract worth Rs 155.52 crore to CG Power for the supply of 765 kV reactors. The contract covers 14 units of 110 MVAR, 765 kV single-phase reactors under Lot 7 of PGCIL’s bulk procurement of 765 kV and 400 kV class transformers and reactors of various capacities.
CG Power reported standalone sales of Rs 3,061 crore for the quarter, compared with Rs 2,643 crore in the corresponding period of FY26, representing a 16% year-on-year increase. Standalone profit after tax (PAT) rose 27% year-on-year to Rs 364 crore.
