KEC wins transmission and renewables orders worth Rs 1,063 crore
KEC International Limited has secured new orders worth Rs 1,063 crore across multiple business segments, including a wind engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project of over 50 MW and a 400 kV transmission line project in Africa.
The renewables business has won an EPC contract for a wind power project of more than 50 MW from an existing private developer in Western India. According to the company, this is its fourth order in the wind EPC segment, further strengthening its presence in the renewable energy business.
In the transmission and distribution (T&D) segment, KEC has secured an order for a 400 kV transmission line project in Africa. The company has also received supply orders for transmission towers, hardware and poles in the Americas.
Commenting on the development, Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, KEC International Ltd., said, “We are pleased with the new order wins across our businesses despite global uncertainties. Our Civil business has expanded its customer base in the Buildings & Factories segment by securing a prestigious order in Northern India. With this order, KEC is now constructing ~80 high-rise buildings for marquee clients across the country. In our international T&D business, the Africa order further diversifies our order book. Our Renewables business has strengthened its presence in the Wind EPC segment by securing its fourth order. With these additions, our YTD order intake stands at over Rs. 6,300 crore.”
Apart from the power sector orders, the company also secured a civil contract for a 24 lakh sq. ft. high-rise residential project in Northern India and multiple cables and conductors orders in domestic and international markets.
