Alpex Solar plans to double solar module capacity to 2.4 GW by FY26

Solar solutions provider Alpex Solar is set to double its photovoltaic solar module capacity to 2.4 GW by FY26. The company is developing a greenfield project with 1.2 GW capacity at Kosi Kotwan, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Alongside this, Alpex Solar is exploring entry into solar cell manufacturing at gigawatt scale to meet rising domestic and global demand.

The company recently completed the expansion of its solar PV module capacity to 900 MW, with the remaining 300 MW expected to be operational by Q3/FY25, bringing total capacity to 1.2 GW. Additionally, Alpex Solar is in the process of acquiring a 17,846.63 sq. mtr. land parcel at Kosi Kotwan, adjacent to its current property, for Rs 70 million to set up a third plant in the future.
