Texmaco Rail secures Rs 12 crore OPTCL transmission line orders

High-voltage transmission tower and power lines against sunset sky representing grid infrastructure expansion

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited has received two orders from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) for power transmission infrastructure works with a combined value of Rs 11.65 crore, inclusive of taxes.

The contracts cover engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning works for the construction of a second circuit single-circuit (SC) line on double-circuit (DC) towers. The projects will be executed on a turnkey basis.

Project timeline

According to the company, both orders are domestic in nature and are scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the date of the Letter of Award.

Contract details

The scope of work includes end-to-end execution of transmission line infrastructure, covering design, supply of materials, installation, testing and commissioning of the second circuit line.

The projects form part of OPTCL’s transmission network expansion and strengthening initiatives in Odisha.
