Kosol Energie commissions 31 MW solar project in Gujarat
Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd. has commissioned a 31 MW (DC) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Junachay village, Kutch district, Gujarat. The project was developed for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) under the state’s Renewable Energy Policy and Green Energy Mission.
The project was executed between October 2022 and March 2026 and is expected to contribute to renewable power generation in the state while supporting Gujarat’s growing electricity demand through clean energy sources.
Project features
The solar plant is equipped with 550 Wp bifacial solar modules and a single-axis tracker mounting system.
According to the company, the bifacial modules are designed to enhance energy generation through dual-side absorption, while the tracker system enables panels to follow the sun’s movement during the day, improving overall energy yield.

Commenting on the commissioning, Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman and Managing Director of Kosol Energie, said the project strengthens Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity and reflects the company’s focus on delivering large-scale renewable energy projects.

Ongoing projects
According to the company, it is currently executing a 250 MW solar project for NLC India Limited, a 145 MW project for Coal India Limited and 109 MW of installations under the PM-KUSUM scheme.
The company also stated that it has supplied more than 3 GW of PV modules to domestic and international markets.
