Pace Digitek wins 250 MW BESS project from DVC in Jharkhand

Pace Digitek Limited has received a Letter of Award from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for a 250 MW / 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Maithon in Jharkhand. The total contract value is Rs 7,019.54 million, including Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The award includes three separate contracts. The supply contract, valued at Rs 5,737.28 million, covers plant and equipment along with mandatory spare parts. The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services contract is worth Rs 574.26 million and includes design, engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. In addition, the company has secured a 12-year comprehensive operation and maintenance contract valued at Rs 708 million.

The supply and EPC works are scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the receipt of the Letter of Award.

The company said this is its first BESS order for FY2027. Pace Digitek had reported energy order inflows of Rs 58,147 million during FY2026. Following the latest award, its total BESS portfolio has crossed 5 GWh, covering utility-scale storage, renewable energy integration, and grid support projects.

Venugopal Rao Maddisetty, Chairman and Managing Director, said the order strengthens the company’s position in the utility-scale energy storage segment and reflects the capabilities of its integrated manufacturing, EPC, and lifecycle services model. He added that the company remains focused on expanding its presence in the energy storage market.
