Adani Green, IHC arm form JV for RE projects in India

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Minerva Holding RSC Ltd, the renewables platform of EPointZero Holding RSC Ltd, to develop, construct, and operate renewable energy projects in India. The agreement was executed on April 8, 2026 through Adani Renewable Energy Middle East Ltd, AGEL’s wholly owned subsidiary in the UAE. The joint venture entity, Minerva Renewables Holding RSC Limited, will be jointly owned, with AGEL holding up to a 20% stake and Minerva holding the majority. No details on project pipeline, capacity targets, or financial commitments were disclosed. The partnership indicates continued interest from Gulf-based investors in India’s renewable energy sector.

JSW Energy exercises option to acquire full stake in JMPCL

JSW Energy Limited has exercised its call option to acquire the remaining 26% equity stake in JSW Mahanadi Power Company Limited (JMPCL). This follows its earlier acquisition of a 74% stake under a resolution plan approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Hyderabad Bench. The balance stake is being acquired from financial creditors through IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited under the Securities Holders’ Agreement dated March 6, 2025. The move is expected to result in full ownership of JMPCL, subject to completion. The transaction aligns with the approved resolution framework.

Premier Energies secures Rs 2,577 crore solar orders in Q4 FY26

Premier Energies Limited has secured orders worth Rs 2,577 crore for the supply of 1,600 MW of solar cells and modules in the fourth quarter of FY2026. Execution is scheduled across FY2027 and FY2028. The orders have been placed by domestic independent power producers (IPPs), module manufacturers, and EPC contractors, with customer names undisclosed. The company’s solar cell capacity is expected to reach 10.6 GW by September 2026, while module capacity stands at 11.1 GW. The order inflow reflects continued expansion among domestic solar manufacturers.

Neuron Energy commissions 5 GWh BESS plant in Maharashtra

Neuron Energy has commissioned a containerised battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra. The plant has an annual capacity of 5 GWh and can produce up to 1,000 containerised BESS units per year. Developed with an investment of Rs 100 crore, the facility is fully automated and targets both domestic and export markets. Around 60% of output is planned for India and 40% for exports. The facility is expected to generate over 500 direct and indirect jobs.

Pace Digitek reports 178 BESS units deployed by March 2026

Pace Digitek Limited, through its subsidiary Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL), has deployed 178 containerised BESS units as of March 31, 2026. The company operationalised around 2.5 GWh capacity at its manufacturing facility in October 2025 and reached this level within six months. The systems are being deployed across utility-scale projects and private sector customers. LPPL supports product development, system integration, and execution across the BESS value chain. The company is executing projects for central and state agencies as well as private clients.

BHEL signs pact with E2S for excitation systems

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed a Technology Collaboration Agreement with E2S Company Limited of South Korea for excitation systems. The agreement covers Static Excitation Systems and Brushless Excitation Systems with automatic voltage regulators. BHEL will gain access to design tools, engineering know-how, and manufacturing practices for domestic and overseas markets. Financial terms were not disclosed. The collaboration aims to strengthen localisation and technology capabilities.

SECI pays Rs 115.09 crore interim dividend for FY26

Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) presented an interim dividend of Rs 115.09 crore to the Government of India for FY2025-26 on April 9, 2026. The event was attended by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and senior officials. SECI continues to expand into energy storage, green hydrogen, and green ammonia alongside renewable energy tenders. The dividend reflects its financial position as a Navratna PSU. The company remains central to India’s renewable energy project execution.

MegaCharge ties up with NHEV for 660 EV charging points

MegaCharge has partnered with the National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) initiative to deploy 660 charging points across a 5,500 km e-highway corridor. The network spans 26 highways across 14 states under the Annuity Hybrid E-Mobility (AHEM) model. MegaCharge will supply and maintain AC and DC fast chargers. The company currently has over 20 charging points installed, mainly in Delhi. Contract value and execution timeline were not disclosed.

Mahindra & Mahindra to take 26% stake in captive solar arm

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited will acquire a 26% stake in Neon Hybren Private Limited to develop a 30 MWAC captive solar plant in Punjab. The investment of up to Rs 11.17 crore will be made through a Share Subscription and Shareholders Agreement with Mahindra Susten Private Limited. The structure meets regulatory requirements for group captive projects under the Electricity Rules, 2005. The project will supply power to M&M’s facilities in Punjab. The deal is expected to close by December 31, 2026.

Bondada commissions 48.2 MWp, crosses 1.3 GWp

Bondada Engineering Limited commissioned 48.2 MWp of solar projects in March 2026 for Paradigm IT and MAHAGENCO. This takes its total execution for FY2025-26 to about 500 MWp and cumulative capacity to around 1.3 GWp. The projects span commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility segments. The MAHAGENCO projects are linked to the MSKVY 2.0 programme. The company continues to expand its EPC pipeline.

Suratwwala arm wins 15 MWAC solar EPC order

Suratwwala Natural Energy Resource Private Limited has secured a 15 MWAC EPC contract from Bondada Engineering Limited for a solar PV project in Maharashtra. The order, valued at about Rs 19 crore, was executed on April 8, 2026. The project is part of the MSKVY 2.0 scheme and will be completed within 12 months. The scope excludes PV modules but includes engineering, supply, and commissioning. Suratwwala’s cumulative orders from Bondada now total 45 MWAC.

Saatvik Solar secures Rs 108.75 crore module order

Saatvik Solar Industries Private Limited has received a solar module supply order worth Rs 108.75 crore from domestic IPPs and EPC contractors. Execution is scheduled by September 2026. Customer names and module specifications were not disclosed. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Haryana. The order reflects ongoing demand from project developers.

Vihaan Clean & Green commissions biomass boiler plant in Gujarat

Vihaan Clean & Green Tech Private Limited has commissioned a biomass-based boiler plant in Gujarat under Phase 2 expansion. The facility is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 81,000 tonnes annually. It uses agricultural residue as fuel for industrial steam generation. Thermax Limited and Thermax Onsite Energy Solutions Limited are technology partners. The project supports biomass utilisation and industrial decarbonisation.

Accord Transformer bags Rs 8.63 crore in orders

Accord Transformer & Switchgear Limited has secured orders worth about Rs 8.63 crore. The larger Rs 8.40 crore order is for compact substation transformers for projects in Lucknow, with execution within 12 months. A second order worth Rs 23 lakh is for distribution transformers to a hospital company in Gurugram. Delivery for the second order is scheduled within six weeks. The orders reflect demand from infrastructure and commercial segments.

China’s CGN brings Southeast Asia’s largest solar project online in Laos

China General Nuclear Power Group has commissioned a 1 GW solar project in northern Laos, marking the largest in Southeast Asia. The project will generate about 1.65 billion kWh annually and offset 1.3 million tonnes of CO₂. It is connected to the China–Laos 500 kV transmission line for cross-border supply. The project includes around 2.23 million solar panels. It is CGN’s first overseas gigawatt-scale greenfield project.
