Zelestra India rebrands to Resolven to scale renewable platform

Author: PPD Team Date: February 27, 2026

Zelestra India has announced its rebranding to Resolven, indicating a strategic shift toward building an execution-focused renewable energy platform designed for multi-gigawatt scale in India. The transition is supported by EQT, a global investment firm, as the company moves into its next growth phase.

The company said the rebranding reflects its transition into a two-year “proof-of-scale phase,” during which it plans to execute more than 1.5 GW of projects annually across solar, wind, hybrid, and battery storage technologies across multiple states. Resolven currently reports a project pipeline of 5.5 GW.

Parag Sharma, Board Member and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), stated that the next two years will be operationally intensive and will shape the company’s position as a multi-gigawatt renewable platform in India. He highlighted the focus on delivering complex renewable portfolios at scale.

For 2026, the company identified priorities including timely commissioning of ongoing projects, securing the development pipeline, expanding its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment, and achieving financial closure for construction-ready projects through institutional lending to manage execution risks. The company is also focusing on evacuation infrastructure development and substation readiness to support hybrid and storage-led growth.

Federico D’Amico, Managing Director (MD) and Head of India Infrastructure at EQT, said the renewable sector in India is entering a phase where execution capability and long-term discipline are increasingly important alongside scale. He noted that Resolven’s repositioning reflects a focus on delivering complex projects with governance, structured processes, and predictable execution. EQT stated its commitment to supporting the company’s expansion through institutional capital and strategic expertise aligned with India’s energy transition and long-term infrastructure requirements.
