Kosol Energie has signed an agreement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to implement India’s largest distributed residential rooftop solar programme, covering around 150,000 households. The project will be executed under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PM Suryaghar Yojana) and supported by a 360 MW microinverter supply arrangement with Hoymiles Power Electronics Inc.
The agreement includes what Kosol Energie described as the largest single microinverter order in the Indian solar market to date. The project will use a microinverter based architecture, which is expected to improve energy generation, enhance system safety and reliability, and enable module level monitoring for each rooftop installation.
Kosol Energie stated that its partnership with Hoymiles Power Electronics Inc will bring established global microinverter technology to the project. The scope includes cost optimised system design and structured after sales support, including round the clock technical assistance and defined resolution processes to support long term system performance.
The project is aligned with the objectives of the PM Suryaghar Yojana, which aims to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar systems in the residential segment. Through large scale deployment of advanced inverter technology, Kosol Energie aims to strengthen safety, efficiency and monitoring standards in India’s expanding distributed solar market.
