Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has informed the stock exchanges that it has promoted twelve senior officials to the position of Executive Director, effective 25 January 2026. Â
The promoted officials are classified as Senior Management Personnel, one level below the Board. The appointments include Abhinav Verma, Executive Director for Rajasthan Projects; Vineeta Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Powergrid Energy Services Limited (PESL); M S Hejib, Executive Director for Southern Region II (SR-II); Akhilesh Kumar Dixit, Chief Executive Officer of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL); Kumud Wadhwa, Executive Director for Enterprise Resource Planning and Information Technology (ERP & IT); Harinarayanan Puthan Kalam, Executive Director for Human Resources (HR); Vikas Bagadia, Executive Director of Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL); Ashok Kumar Naik, Executive Director for Eastern Region II (ER-II); Rajesh V, Executive Director for the Khwada-Nagpur HVDC Project; and Arindam Chakraborty, Executive Director for Field Quality and Assurance.
The company stated that each of the appointees brings over three decades of experience across areas including transmission project execution, grid operations, smart grid systems, human resources, and renewable energy evacuation.
