Fujiyama Power Systems Limited has announced the commissioning of a new 1 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant step in its backward integration strategy.

The company formally intimated the stock exchanges of the development on January 21, 2026. The plant was inaugurated by senior officials from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Secretary Mr. Santosh Kumar Sarangi and Joint Secretary Mr. Rajesh Kulhari.

The new facility, built with an investment of Rs 300 crore from internal accruals and debt, will produce Mono Perc Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) solar cells. This output is intended entirely for captive consumption within the company’s existing 1.6 GW solar panel manufacturing operations, 1.2 GW of which is also located at Dadri. The project was completed within six months.

In a statement, Chairman and Joint Managing Director Pawan Kumar Garg highlighted that bringing cell production in-house strengthens supply chain security, reduces dependence on imports, and insulates the primarily domestic-focused business from global trade uncertainties.

Fujiyama Power Systems Limited, formerly Fujiyama Power Systems Private Limited, is headquartered in Delhi and is a rooftop solar solutions provider with 29 years of operational experience. The company offers more than 500 stock-keeping units across solar panels, inverters, batteries, and power electronics. It operates four manufacturing facilities across Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, and has a distribution network of over 7,500 channel partners, with a strong presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. The company is also expanding its fully integrated Solar Power Generating System capacity to 2 GW in Ratlam.
