CG Power emerges as L1 bidder for Rs 334 crore Power Grid transformer tender

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder in a major transformer bulk procurement tender issued by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL).
According to PGCIL’s procurement portal, the tender relates to the “400 kV Transformer Package 4TR 10 BULK” under the Bulk Procurement of 765 kV and 400 kV Class Transformers and Reactors of various Capacities (Lot 5). CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited was declared the qualified party and L1 bidder.
The package involves the supply of 6 units of 500 MVA 400/220/33 kV three-phase transformers, 5 units of 315 MVA 400/230/33 kV three-phase transformers, and 4 units of 105 MVA 400/220/33 kV single-phase transformers, along with associated equipment. Portal records show a contract value of Rs 333.7 crores.
The contract date is recorded as 02 January 2026, while the completion period has not been disclosed. Portal data indicates one bid in the tender, with CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited qualified.
Earlier, under the same bulk procurement programme, CG Power had also secured the 765 kV Reactor Package 7RT-21-BULK valued at Rs. 3.17 billion on 31 July 2025.
