Suzlon Energy Limited announced on 17 December 2025 that it has secured two new wind power orders totalling 306 MW from Yanara. The orders are for the supply of wind turbines for firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Barmer, Rajasthan, and mark a continuation of the partnership between the two companies during the year.

Under the contracts, Suzlon will supply 102 units of its S144 3 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) with hybrid lattice towers. The turbines will be deployed across two FDRE projects of Yanara, each with a capacity of 153 MW, located in Barmer district. The electricity generated from these projects will be used by Yanara to meet its power purchase agreement commitments with utilities including NTPC and NHPC.

Suzlon stated that it has a significant operational presence in Rajasthan. The company holds around 44 per cent market share of the state’s installed wind capacity of 5.2 GW and has an installed base exceeding 2.3 GW. Suzlon is also currently executing other engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects aggregating 791 MW in the state.

For Yanara, the projects form part of its broader plan to develop a multi gigawatt portfolio of grid scale hybrid renewable energy assets in India. These projects combine solar, wind, and energy storage technologies to supply reliable and round the clock clean power.

Executives from both companies highlighted the ongoing collaboration. Suzlon’s management said the repeat orders reflect customer confidence in its technology and execution capability in challenging climatic conditions such as those in Rajasthan. Yanara’s leadership stated that the partnership supports its objective of contributing to India’s energy transition through integrated renewable energy solutions.
