Solarworld Energy Solutions has signed a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for a 200 MW or 400 MWh battery energy storage system in Gujarat.
The EPC contract is valued at about Rs 806.4 crore, excluding taxes, and will be delivered over 12 years. The award was made under the tariff based competitive bidding process issued earlier in 2025.
On September 23, 2025, Solarworld launched its initial public offering. The issue totals Rs 4.9 billion, including a fresh issue of Rs 4.4 billion and an offer for sale of Rs 0.5 billion by existing shareholders.
