GK Energy signs agreement to procure 875 MW of DCR-compliant solar cells

GK Energy Limited has signed an agreement with a domestic manufacturer for the supply of 875 MW of domestic content requirement (DCR) compliant solar photovoltaic cells. The procurement includes 450 MW of Mono PERC and 425 MW of TOPCon cells. The name of the manufacturer has not been disclosed.

The solar cells will be supplied by March 31, 2027, and will be used in GK Energy’s ongoing and upcoming solar projects across multiple states. The agreement specifies delivery timelines, quality benchmarks, and compliance with domestic sourcing requirements.

GK Energy is an engineering, procurement, and commissioning (EPC) company specializing in solar-powered agricultural water pump systems. It provides integrated services covering survey, design, supply, assembly, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.

In September 2025, GK Energy raised Rs 1 billion (Rs 100 crore) in a pre-initial public offering (IPO) funding round. The investment was led by Valuequest, 360 One (formerly IIFL Wealth), and Kotak AIF, among others.
