Suzlon Energy will supply turbines from its upgraded Andhra Pradesh factory, restarted in 2024. This is Andhra Pradesh’s first wind project since 2019. Â
The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy, released in October 2024, targets over 160 GW of renewable capacity, Rs 10 lakh crore in investments, and 7.5 lakh jobs by 2030. It focuses on renewables, pumped storage, and green hydrogen.
Tata Power plans to invest Rs 49,000 crore under this policy for solar, wind, and hybrid projects. Reliance signed an MoU in November 2024 to invest Rs 65,000 crore in 500 compressed biogas plants. Greenko Group is investing Rs 35,070 crore in a 5 GW renewable project with 1.7 GW of pumped hydro.
