RECPDCL incorporates three new transmission subsidiaries

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has incorporated three new wholly owned subsidiaries to serve as project-specific Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for upcoming transmission infrastructure projects.

1) Umred Power Transmission Limited
Umred Power Transmission Limited was incorporated on July 7, 2025 to execute the intra-state transmission project for the establishment of a 400/220/132 kV substation at Umred in Nagpur district.  

2) Sakoli Power Transmission Limited
Sakoli Power Transmission Limited was also incorporated on July 7, 2025. This company will execute the intra-state transmission project involving a 400/220/132 kV substation at Sakoli in Bhandara district. 

3) SR WR Power Transmission Limited
SR WR Power Transmission Limited was incorporated on July 1, 2025, for an inter-state transmission project aimed at strengthening grid connectivity between the Southern Region (SR) and the Western Region (WR).  

All three companies will be transferred to successful bidders after the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
