Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd has announced the launch of its Global Coil Factory at Kupwad MIDC in Sangli, Maharashtra. The facility is set to become one of the world’s largest production plants for air-core and oilfilled reactors, supporting applications in HVDC (high-voltage direct current), STATCOM, and FACTS systems.
Equipped with 44 advanced winding lines and a high-voltage testing laboratory, the plant is designed to meet rising global demand for high-voltage reactors and coil-based components. The facility is also being constructed in line with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Platinum standards, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Arwade Infrastructure Ltd, Kirby Building Systems, and Electromech. These partners are integrating civil, structural, and material handling technologies for smooth execution.
Machinery for cable manufacturing, part of Quality Power’s reverse integration under its Reactor Harmonisation Program (RHP), has already been ordered and is scheduled for fast-track commissioning.
