KfW inspect green corridor projects in Madhya Pradesh

A delegation from KfW Development Bank recently reviewed transmission projects executed by Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (MPPTCL) under the Green Energy Corridor – Phase I (GEC-I). As per MPPTCL’s release, these projects were completed ahead of schedule and are now operational.
The GEC-I scheme, funded by KfW, includes intrastate transmission systems aimed at renewable energy evacuation. It is monitored by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Walter Klotz, a technical officer from KfW, inspected the 400kV substation at Mandsaur. He appreciated the construction quality and technical methods used. He also reviewed substation maintenance, SCADA-based monitoring, and operational protocols, describing them as well-executed and in line with global standards.
Separately, the Government of Madhya Pradesh inaugurated a 10 MW solar power project in Neemuch district on May 18, 2025. Developed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), this is part of a 20 MW (2×10 MW) solar initiative under Phase-I at Rampura in Neemuch district.
