Array Technologies launches SkyLink wireless solar tracker system
Array Technologies, a utility-scale solar tracking solution provider, has introduced SkyLink, a PV-powered wireless tracker system. Building on the strengths of its DuraTrack® and OmniTrack™ offerings, SkyLink adds flexibility and optimization to Array’s solar trackers.
SkyLink features an eight linked-row architecture, passive wind mitigation, PV string-powered brushless DC motors, and Zigbee wireless communication. The system is designed to handle extreme weather, with automated responses to snow and hail accumulation, ensuring continuous solar production even during grid disruptions.
The SkyLink system reduces project costs by eliminating the need for trenching and extensive wiring, and its flexible design optimizes layout efficiency for fragmented sites. With enhanced performance and reduced dependency on power grids, SkyLink expands the geographic areas where Array’s solar trackers can be installed, supporting the broader adoption of sustainable energy solutions.
