Solex Energy Limited has successfully commissioned an 800 MW high-speed solar module manufacturing line in Surat, Gujarat. The facility produces n-Type TOPCon rectangular cell-based Tapi-R series modules, with capacities ranging from 585 Wp to 625 Wp. This production line operates 30% faster than other Indian facilities, increasing output efficiency and reducing lead times.

Equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), the facility ensures enhanced quality control with minimal manual intervention. It also features India’s largest chamber laminators, enabling higher module laminations in a single cycle while maintaining stringent quality standards.

The Tapi-R series modules, with a cell size of 182.2 x 210 mm and 132 half-cut cells, deliver up to 625 Wp with an efficiency of 23.14%. These modules offer a bifacial rate of approximately 80% and a power temperature coefficient of -0.28% per degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, KP Energy has commissioned a 25.8 MW wind power project at Vagra, Bharuch in Gujarat. The project consists of 11 wind turbine generators, part of a total planned capacity of 28.6 MW. The remaining 2.8 MW is expected to be operational soon. With this addition, KP Energy’s total independent power producer (IPP) capacity reaches 45.7 MW.
