Jupiter International has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Odisha government to invest Rs 20.05 billion in a solar manufacturing plant.
The investment, made through its subsidiary Jupiter Renewables, will set up a facility with a 4.2 GW annual solar cell production capacity and 3.6 GW for modules.
The agreement was signed during the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.
In addition, the Government of Odisha has signed an MoU with KPI Green Energy Limited to set up renewable energy power parks in the Ganjam district.
In January 2025, Jupiter International announced plans to invest Rs 65 billion over the next three years to expand its solar manufacturing capabilities to 3 GW for wafers, 9.4 GW for solar cells, and 6 GW for module assembly, to meet increasing market demand for solar solutions while achieving full control over its manufacturing value chain.
Recently, the company received an order worth over Rs 30 million from the West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board (WBKVIB) to supply, install, and maintain rooftop grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants in 23 locations in West Bengal.
