Kalpataru Projects Q1 FY 2025 results
Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has released its financial results for the quarter that ended June 30, 2024. The consolidated revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 increased by 8.2 per cent year-over-year (YoY) to Rs 45.87 billion, driven primarily by the transmission and distribution (T&D) and buildings and factories (B&F) sectors. The company’s EBITDA stood at Rs 3.78 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 8.2 per cent. However, the EBITDA margin experienced a decline due to changes in the project mix and investments in resource augmentation. The profit before tax (PBT) was reported at Rs 1.37 billion, with a margin of 3.0 per cent while the profit after tax (PAT) was Rs 0.84 billion. As of June 30, 2024, KPIL’s net consolidated debt was Rs 37.39 billion.
On a standalone basis, KPIL’s revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 increased by 3 per cent YoY to Rs 37.22 billion. This growth was moderated due to lower collections in the water business, attributed to delays in budgetary allocations. The standalone EBITDA was Rs 3.14 billion, with a margin of 8.4 per cent. The PBT for this period was Rs 1.64 billion, with a margin of 4.4 per cent and the PAT was Rs 1.17 billion, with a margin of 3.1 per cent.
KPIL’s order inflows for fiscal year 2025 have reached Rs 70.15 billion, with an additional lowest bidder (L1) position of Rs 50 billion. The company’s order book stood at Rs 571.95 billion as of June 30, 2024, reflecting a 21 per cent YoY increase. New orders amounting to Rs 8.38 billion were secured in July 2024 alone. The standalone net debt as of June 30, 2024, was Rs 29.07 billion.
