Rajasthan Power Grid Transmission Company formed as JV between PGCIL and RVPN

Rajasthan Power Grid Transmission Company Limited (RPTCL) has been incorporated as a joint venture between Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPN). The venture is structured with a 74% equity stake held by POWERGRID and a 26% share by RVPN.
The objective of RPTCL is to develop the Intra State Transmission System within the state of Rajasthan, enhancing its power infrastructure.Â
In October 2024, POWERGRID and RVPNL signed a shareholder agreement to formalize the establishment of the joint venture company.
