Tata Power to invest Rs 1.2 trillion in Rajasthan renewable projects

Tata Power has announced an investment of Rs 1.2 trillion in Rajasthan to develop various renewable energy projects, including rooftop solar installations and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
The announcement was made at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit on December 9, 2024.
The investment roadmap aims to transform Rajasthan into a power surplus state through clean and affordable energy. It includes Rs 750 billion for solar, wind, and hybrid projects in regions such as Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur.
The initiatives are expected to create 28,000 jobs and enhance the state’s renewable capacity, which already exceeds 18 GW.
