NLC India achieves trial milestone for Ghatampur thermal plant
NLC India Limited’s joint venture, Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL), has completed a 72-hour full-load trial for the first 660 MW unit of the Ghatampur Thermal Power Station in Uttar Pradesh.Â
The trial, concluded on December 3, 2024, is a key step toward declaring commercial operation.
NUPPL, jointly owned by NLC India (51%) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (49%), is developing the 1,980 MW (3×660 MW) plant, supported by a 9 MTPA captive coal mine at South Pachwara in Jharkhand.
