UJVN approves civil and H&M works for hydro project in Uttarakhand

The Board of Directors of Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVN) has approved civil and hydro-mechanical (H&M) works for the 120 MW Sirkari Bhyol-Rupsiabagar Hydro Electric Project.
The project, comprising three units of 40 MW each, will be developed on the Goriganga River in Munsiyari, Pithoragarh district, with an investment of Rs 8.79 billion.
In addition, UJVN has sanctioned Renovation, Modernization, and Uprating (RMU) works for the 30 MW Kulhal Hydro Electric Project. The RMU will cost Rs 1.15 billion and enhance the plant’s efficiency.
