Huasun Energy has secured a 1 GW contract to supply its n-type heterojunction (HJT) solar modules to Power China for offshore solar projects in Aoshan Bay, Jimo District, Qingdao, Shandong Province.
Known for challenging soft soil conditions, the region requires modules with high water resistance, corrosion protection, and durability.
Huasun’s G12-132 V-Ocean HJT solar modules, with a 720 W output, feature advanced waterproofing through butyl adhesive and UV-resistant junction boxes that provide salt mist protection, ensuring consistent long-term energy production.
This contract reinforces Huasun’s presence in China’s large-scale PV sector and supports ongoing research into HJT technology to further net-zero objectives with high-efficiency solutions.
Earlier in 2024, Huasun partnered with ITRAMAS Corporation to develop 1.5 GW of solar projects. Starting in 2025, Huasun will deliver HJT modules rated at 700 W or higher to support ITRAMAS’s expansive solar installations.
