EU issues second cross-border renewables tender
The European Commission has launched the second cross-border tender under the EU Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM). This call, open until March 4, 2025, aims to support the construction of ground-mounted solar projects in Finland and onshore wind projects in Estonia. Brazil’s Piaui State authorizes 300 MW wind farm by Ventos de São Zacarias
The government of Piaui has authorized the operation of a 300MW wind farm owned by renewable energy company Ventos de São Zacarias (VSZ), set to begin operations in the next 30–90 days. Maharashtra becomes India’s second-largest state for rooftop solar installations
According to a recent report by Mercom India, Maharashtra has emerged as the second-largest state in India for cumulative rooftop solar installations, contributing 13.3% to the country’s total photovoltaic (PV) installations.
