Torrent Power has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (MSEDCL) for 2,000 MW of energy storage capacity from its InSTS-connected pumped hydro storage plant in Maharashtra. India identifies over 300,000 MW hydroelectric, pumped-storage potential
India has identified 133,410 MW of large hydroelectric potential and 176,280 MW of pumped-storage potential, according to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). In the past decade, 24 hydroelectric projects, including Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) with a total capacity of 15,569 MW, have been approved. Haryana DISCOM floats tender for 27 MW solar projects
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has issued a tender for 26.75 MW of decentralised, ground-mounted, grid-connected solar projects under Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) program. Bids are due by November 25, 2024. The Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) will purchase power from the projects at a levelised tariff of Rs 3.11/kWh, with 25-year power purchase agreements signed with successful bidders on behalf of DHBVN.
