GE Vernova to supply turbines for Boulder Creek Wind Farm in Queensland

GE Vernova has partnered with Aula Energy and CS Energy to supply 38 of its 6MW, 164m turbines for the Boulder Creek Wind Farm in Queensland, Australia. Located 40km southwest of Rockhampton, this project is the first standalone project-financed split-scope wind farm in the country. It will generate enough electricity to power approximately 85,000 homes and offset 379,000 tons of CO2 annually.

With this addition, the total number of GE Vernova 6MW turbines in Australia exceeds 250. Preparatory works will begin by the end of 2024, with full operations expected by 2027.
